CBF Youth Development Coordinator

The Canadian Broomball Federation Executive has concluded the hiring process for the position of CBF Youth Development Coordinator to facilitate the CBF Heritage Youth Program. Due to the amount of applications received, this process did take longer than expected and we are truly grateful to all candidates for showing interest in this specific broomball program.

The stages of the process began with 15 applicants and short listing the numbers for the interviews to four. Once the interviews were completed, the hiring committee made the difficult selection choice and contacted the individual of the decision. The committee then reviewed the job description with the successful candidate to ensure an understanding of the performance objectives were agreed to by both parties.

I am pleased to announce the successful candidate for the position of CBF Youth Development Coordinator, Commencing the duties August 1, 2008.

CONGRATUALTIONS AND WELCOME TO
Pascale Gauthier

For the past 10 years, Pascale was very much involved in sport Administration and more specifically in coaching education. For a period of 2 years she worked with the CAC as a Sport Consultant (Coaching Association of Canada). 14 sports were guided by her through parts of the NCCP transition (her introduction to broomball came through this program). During her 22 months in Ottawa, she worked as an Aquatic Director for the second biggest city in Qc: Laval. She had to develop a new aquatic program that would regroup all LTAD programs of the 4 aquatic sports: Swimming, Diving, Synchro and Water-polo. Pascale is working under contract for Sports-Quebec where she helps the Provincial Coordinator in developing and marketing the new NCCP in Quebec. Ms Gauthier is a creative and passionate woman, who can’t wait to work with this friendly Broomball family.

Pascale’s experience with sport program development will be an asset for the sport of Broomball Nationally and I ask the membership to welcome Pascale Gauthier to the Canadian Broomball Federation. All P/TSO’s will be contacted direct by Pascale in the very near future.
