Broomball Canada

Ottawa and Alma Set to Host 2026 Championships

Monday, May 19, 2025

OTTAWA, ON — May 20, 2025 — Broomball Canada has officially announced the host cities and dates for its two national tournaments in 2026. The U20 Broomball National Championships will be held at Carleton University in Ottawa, Ontario, from March 24 to 28, 2026, while the Senior National Championships are set to take place in Alma, Quebec, from April 7 to 11, 2026.

The U20 event, expected to draw top young talent from across the country, will utilize the state-of-the-art ice facilities at Carleton University. This marks a return to Ottawa for the tournament and promises a vibrant atmosphere with the nation’s capital offering a rich sports culture and strong support for youth athletics.

Just weeks later, Alma, Quebec will welcome Canada’s best adult broomball teams for the Senior Nationals. Known for its passionate local fans and deep broomball roots, Alma is no stranger to hosting this high-level event and is gearing up for a strong turnout and fierce competition.

Both events are expected to feature male and female divisions, while senior's will offer Mixed and Master as well.  The championship matches will determine the top teams in Canadian broomball. With increased attention on the sport's growth and youth development, 2026 is shaping up to be a pivotal year for broomball in Canada.

More details on team registration, ticket sales, and event schedules will be released in early 2026 on Host websites.
