From 2 to 3 Championships for Blitz!

From two to three Championships for Blitz!

In a stunning display of skill and determination, the Temiscouata Quebec broomball team secured their third consecutive championship at the U20 Broomball Nationals held in Portage la Prairie, Manitoba. The tournament, which featured top young broomball talent from across the country, witnessed the Temiscouata team's dominance as they blitzed through the competition.

Led by Cedric Blais on offence and coach Maxime Dugas, the Temiscouata squad showcased a perfect blend of offensive prowess and defensive solidity throughout the tournament. Their relentless attacking style coupled with solid teamwork and strategic play proved too much for their opponents to handle. They finished the tournament with a 7-1 record with their only loss coming upon the brooms of the Ottawa Valley Gamblers who finished 3rd overall.

In the championship game, the Temiscouata team faced off against a formidable opponent from Embrun, Ontario, the Panthers. They remained unfazed, delivering a masterclass performance that resulted in a close 3-2 victory and solidified their status as a dynasty in U20 broomball. Zackary Briand opened the scoring first for the Blitz followed closely by Alexis Leblond about half way through the first period. In the second period, Cody Lalonde cut the Blitz lead in half from a pass from Tristan Legault for the Panthers. Shortly after, Leblond scored his second of the game to give a two goal lead to the Quebec quad. The Panthers then scored a power play goal by Simon Gagné late in the second period. Unfortunately, it was too little too late for the Ontario team, as Blitz were able to hold on to the lead to cement their win in the gold medal game.

Fans and supporters of the team celebrated their success, hailing them as a source of pride for Temiscouata and Quebec broomball overall. With their third consecutive championship win, the Temiscouata Quebec team has undoubtedly etched their name in broomball history, leaving a legacy of excellence for future generations of players to aspire to.
